WELCOME TO MY HAUS

Welcome

Welcome to My HAUS!

Hi, I’m Sensei Randy — Head Instructor and Owner of Strikers Haus.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our center, my background, and the mission that drives everything we do here: to develop not just great fighters, but the best martial artists in the world.

Now, you might be thinking:
“I’m not trying to be the best martial artist in the world.”

That’s fair — and this is the moment where you either click away… or read on.
Because what I mean by “the best martial artist” may not be what you expect.

More Than Punches and Kicks

Being a martial artist isn’t just about having the hardest punch, the fastest kick, or the best takedown.

It’s about being the best version of yourself — mentally, physically, and spiritually.
A martial artist is a fighter for greatness, in every aspect of life.

To embrace the martial artist mindset, you must be willing to walk the journey — and love it.
That means facing the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly… with commitment and humility.

Through that journey, you discover what it truly means to be a martial artist:
Disciplined. Confident. Compassionate. Respected. Respectful.

This is what we build here at Strikers Haus.
If you’re ready to grow — not just as a fighter, but as a person — then welcome to the journey.

ABOUT Me

Over 35 Years of Martial Arts Mastery — Built on Legacy, Discipline, and Purpose

I’ve been immersed in the world of Mixed Martial Arts for over 35 years, and the journey has been nothing short of life-defining. Throughout my career, I’ve earned:

  • 4 Amateur Titles

  • 3 Professional World Titles

  • Over 300 National Championships

  • 1,000+ First-Place Wins in Sport Karate

  • Black Belts in Judo and Karate/Kickboxing

But my journey started long before the titles.

My father opened our family’s first training center in 1998, carrying forward a legacy of excellence. He and my uncle ran what became known as one of the best sports karate teams in the world — a team that was even sponsored by legendary fashion designer Karl Kani.

From that team emerged some of the greatest names in modern martial arts, including:

  • Raymond Daniels – Bellator Kickboxing World Champion

  • Bryan Schwartz – Top Contender in K-1 and Strikeforce

A Lifelong Student of the Game

Over the decades, I’ve had the honor of training with and learning from some of the best martial artists in the world. Growing up studying a wide range of disciplines gave me a deep appreciation for what martial arts truly is — a complete system of self-improvement and self-defense.

To be a true martial artist, you must be well-rounded in every aspect of combat:

  • Striking with your hands, elbows, knees, and feet

  • Takedowns and clinch work

  • Submission grappling and ground control

But beyond the techniques, martial arts is a lifestyle rooted in timeless values:
Awareness. Discipline. Confidence. Structure. Respect.

These are the principles I live by — and the foundation of everything we teach here at Strikers Haus.

Our Philosophy at Strikers Haus

Restoring the True Meaning of Martial Arts

Martial arts today isn’t what it used to be — and that’s exactly why Strikers Haus exists.

Over time, the traditional values of martial arts have been watered down by the evolving demands of society. Walk into 70–80% of local schools today, and you'll see a troubling pattern: high-ranking kids with black belts leading classes after just a few years of training.

Let’s be honest — that’s a disservice to the art and, more importantly, to the students.

Yes, some argue that giving children high ranks builds confidence. But what kind of confidence are we really building? Is it rooted in real-world experience, discipline, and growth — or is it based on participation and praise?

The truth is: You can’t fast-track mastery.
And you can’t fake experience.

The Problem with “Fast-Track” Martial Arts

In many schools, every student gets the same trophies, the same belts, and a round of applause — no matter their effort or skill. It’s good for business, but not for building real martial artists.

What you get is what I call the “hollow student.”
They look the part — polished and confident — but fold under pressure like a tin can.

This is exactly what’s caused many to lose respect for arts like karate.
It’s not the art that’s the problem — it’s the way it’s being taught.

What We Believe at Strikers Haus

Here, belts don’t define you.
They don’t guarantee skill, and they certainly don’t determine your value.

Belts are just tools — they hold your pants up.

What really defines your rank?

  • Time on the mat

  • Real experience

  • Discipline through failure

  • Breakthroughs earned the hard way

  • Respect gained, not given

That’s why at Strikers Haus, we’ve chosen to take the long, hard, and honest path. Because our mission is to develop true martial artists, not just belt collectors.

There’s no timetable for greatness.
Everyone’s journey is different — and when you do finally earn that high rank, it doesn’t mean you’ve made it.
It means your real journey is just beginning.
